MAGNUS PRO MCX from the Taiwanese brand 4UANTUM is a completely redesigned hop-up unit for APFG MCX GBB Series gas rifles, developed with an emphasis on accuracy, shot-to-shot consistency and mechanical durability. At its core is a one-piece body CNC machined from a single block of 6061 aluminium. The unit uses a true TDC (Top Dead Center) pressure system, which applies pressure to the hop-up bucking directly from above and helps ensure even pressure without unwanted lateral deflection. The patented self-centring inner barrel mounting system helps keep the barrel and bucking precisely aligned in the correct position. 4UANTUM has also modified the unit geometry in relation to the bolt cycle. During operation, the unit interacts with the bolt rather than transferring repeated impacts to the loading nozzle, helping to reduce the risk of nozzle damage. On the APFG MCX platform, the hop-up unit is also part of the barrel mounting system, so the stronger one-piece MAGNUS PRO construction contributes to greater rigidity of the entire barrel assembly. Hop-up adjustment is handled by a practical adjustment wheel that can be accessed through the handguard openings or an M-LOK slot, allowing fine adjustments to be made directly on the rifle without disassembly. Installation requires appropriate technical experience, and the unit is supplied without an inner barrel or hop-up bucking. We recommend purchasing the 4UANTUM Friction GBB hop-up bucking.
The TDC pressure system applies pressure to the hop-up bucking directly from above and helps ensure even contact with the BBs for a consistent trajectory.
The patented Center Lock system precisely centres the inner barrel and reduces unwanted movement inside the hop-up unit.
The one-piece CNC-machined body offers high strength while also increasing the rigidity of the entire barrel assembly on the APFG MCX GBB platform.
The modified geometry transfers contact during cycling to the bolt instead of the nozzle, helping to reduce damage caused by repeated impacts.
The adjustment wheel can be operated through the handguard openings or an M-LOK slot, allowing convenient hop-up fine-tuning directly in the field.
